My body
what have you experienced through it

I'm again and again struck by people, both young and old, just too keen to know better for other people how to express their physics for themselves and those around them. Piercing haven't been underground anymore for a decade and tattooing is something you're more likely to see on the older guys than the trendy clubbers. And still there's all these people thinking they know better, that you'll regret all your tattoos later and they're only something machismo-thing to compensate your small dick and the piercing beyond the dentists' medical perforations must be a health threat and
scarification is something only the mentally disturbed people do on themselves to elevate their personality disorders and traumas. Even if there's information and informants available all around us.

I had a debate on the subject at work and I found out even relatively young people with academic education can have rather strong opinions on one's right to his/her own body. I couldn't help but keep my mouth shut, because Ghod only knows what might have come out had I mouthed a single but. A person actually suggested Body modifications should be prohibited by law, just think about that! Less than 30 years old femme, master of arts and totally lost at phenomenology of body, screwed up sky high!

People tend to have opinions. I, too, have a few. One of them goes that in my opinion tattoos, piercing, scarification, branding, cutting and the like practices of body modification are fine. I'm more than a little into it though I haven't invested my money on tattoos or a sterile piercing (a few crappy one's as a young gun, with more alcohol in my blood than in the piercing "equipment"). They can be a great way, I'm sure, to personal experimentation on phenomenology of the body, if you can live with them. If you're not sure, why not find out? Get your navel/nipples pierced at first. Dance. Pose for camera in either artistic or pornographic pictures, representing your body. Now that deepens the understanding of the bodily aesthetics and it's phenomenology beyond the intellectual activity enhanced by academic treatises.

...

Oh, and concerning the male nipples: Even if the male nipples finally got a decent explanation as an evolution's suggestion to get a piercing, the picture of the female breast with nipple piercing digs the ground beneath it. I should've got a picture of a male nipple piercing, naturally. To see some male nipples pierced, visit - for example - BME here. Not that you should find yourself overly excited. It's just piercing. Go get one, and find out why.

The motivation of having a results picture of a retarded quiz was not the female breast. Not that I'd have anything against female breasts, heavens, no, nothing against 'em! It was the nipple piercing I took this quiz in the first place. But it was moving to see this wonderful point in the quiz results: secretive, how very true.

Which Piercing are you?

You're telling me?
